Malayer Carpets : Malayer is a pretty little town between the cities of Hamadan and Arak. The best grapes flourish in this area and some of the most beautiful carpets are woven there. The consistency, accuracy and authenticity of the carpets in the way of weaving, without influence from other carpets, make them highly sought after. The designs are symmetrical or asymmetrical, floral or geometric. Their wool is of high quality with natural shine. Their colors are herbal and in newer carpets sometimes synthetic. The orange color combined with the deep red-brown color of rust, give a special character to the carpets. The result is fantastic when all these colors are combined with Indigo blue of the night and with the natural beige of the wool, which softens and blendsthe different colors beautifully by giving a three-dimensional look to the projects. We also come across these shades in old carpets from Saruk and Feraghan. Traders always have a Malayer carpet in their collection to attract customers.

Sarouk Carpets : Sarouk is the name of carpets with a rich history, which are woven in the homonymous town as well as in the city of Arak and surrounding areas. Names of carpets from the Sarouk area are also: Feraghan, Feraghan Sarouk, Mahal, Mohajaran Sarouk, Mushkabad and Viss / Golpayegan. The first successes of Sarouk carpets were largely due to the U.S. market. The Sarouk still continue to be popular among Persian carpets and are made of very good quality wool. The designs are usually floral in style, in ivory beige and in shades of red and blue. The best Sarouk originate from the small town Ghiassabad.

Nomadic carpets: Carpets woven by nomads. Nomads move continuously and do not stay permanently in one geographic region. They manufacture (weave) handmade carpets on collapsible looms. Due to that fact there may be slight variations in weaving and their carpets are sometimes uneven in shape. Also the weaving is made from memory and it depends on each artisans momentary inspiration. As a result, the designs in some carpets are not even on the entire surface.

All CarpetU2 carpets are subject to cleaning with high quality antibacterial and moth protection products according to Persian law.

Horizontal or vertical shading in the carpet pile: The shading is due to folding the carpet during transportation. When the carpet is laid and stepped-on they will vanish. Examples

Flat woven at one or both ends of the carpet's width: In some carpets the nomads weave at fringes on a narrow Kilim one or both sides of the width, or they weave them artistically into small braids. It is a technique various weavers use for a greater durability or simply to demonstrate their skill. Examples

Abrash: Due to the different amount of grease in the wool and the added salt during the process of dyeing, the wool has got a varying colour absorbance. This is not very visible before weaving. During the weaving though, lines of the same colour are formed in the carpet. This is called Abrash (which in Farsi means little cloud) and it shows that the wool was not manufactured using chemical means and marks the naturalness and authenticity of the carpets. Examples
