Yomut Carpets : The Yomut carpets are being woven by the turkmenic nomadic tribe Yomut, which live in the regions between Northern Persia, Caspian Sea, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. The Yomut carpets are woven with a woolen warp. They are dense and meticulously woven from materials of excellent quality. Most of the Yomut carpets have a thin and low pile. Their colors are red, including different tones of red. Their motifs are repeated octagons or rombi surrounded by many bordures, by a main, wide bordure and many narrower bordures on both sides of the main bordure.

Bokhara Carpets : The Bokhara carpets are woven in Belutchistan and in different regions of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. Turkmen carpets include Basjir, Salor, Tekke-Bochara, Jolam-Bocharaband, Ersari, Tjaudor and Yomut which are examples of the carpet style called Bokhara. Some areas of Turkmenistan where carpets are woven are Ashkabad, Bakharden, Geok-Tepe, Kizyl-Arvat and Merv. The deep red and the whole range of red from purple to brown are the dominant colors with repeating octagons, rhombi, yomut motifs being characteristic of these carpets. The warp of the carpets is always wool.

Kilim: It is a type of textile without a pile, that preceded the carpet with a pile and it is mainly made by nomads. It has often got no back or front surface and it can be used on both sides.

All CarpetU2 carpets are subject to cleaning with high quality antibacterial and moth protection products according to Persian law.

Horizontal or vertical shading in the carpet pile: The shading is due to folding the carpet during transportation. When the carpet is laid and stepped-on they will vanish. Examples

Flat woven at one or both ends of the carpet's width: In some carpets the nomads weave at fringes on a narrow Kilim one or both sides of the width, or they weave them artistically into small braids. It is a technique various weavers use for a greater durability or simply to demonstrate their skill. Examples

Abrash: Due to the different amount of grease in the wool and the added salt during the process of dyeing, the wool has got a varying colour absorbance. This is not very visible before weaving. During the weaving though, lines of the same colour are formed in the carpet. This is called Abrash (which in Farsi means little cloud) and it shows that the wool was not manufactured using chemical means and marks the naturalness and authenticity of the carpets. Examples
