Mood Carpets : The city of Mood is located in the Khorasan province in Northeastern Iran. The manufacture of carpets and production of saffron made the city world-famous. Most Mood carpets are of high quality, made of thin, soft wool with fine and shapely designs. Mood carpets are woven with an asymmetrical knot. Bright blue and red with beige for contrast are usually used. In their designs flowers and medallions are typically used. The artisans often weave the Mir design and the design called the garden (i.e., repeated squares decorated with trees, weeping willows, flowers, deer and birds).

Mashad Carpets : Mashad is known as the City of Ferdowsi the poet who wrote "Shahnameh", which is considered to be the national epic of Iran. It is also famous for its excellent quality wool. The old Mashad carpets were very good and had fine weave. For a time, due to the high manufacturing cost, quality did not meet the requirements of buyers and the demand had declined significantly. This happened until the mid-1950, when a significant improvement began. Their carpets started to look like works of art, with beautiful, tasteful, fine and detailed drawings. A great variety of flowers, "mir I botah", beautiful medallions and borders with garlands adorn Mashad carpets. The colors are almost always herbal. In Chorasan there are many krapprot which give a very sweet red. The Indigo blue is also the second of the main colors used. The knots used are senneh (Persian knot) and ghiordes (Turkish knot). The Mashad carpets called Turkbafs, in which the ghiordes knot is used, are of very high quality and aesthetics.

Classic Carpets: Carpets that are woven in urban centres in fixed workshops and looms(as opposed to nomads). Their designs are first done on paper by carpet designers. These designs are strictly conducted by the weaver during the manufacturing. Even in these carpets, though there may be slight variations in weaving.

All CarpetU2 carpets are subject to cleaning with high quality antibacterial and moth protection products according to Persian law.

Horizontal or vertical shading in the carpet pile: The shading is due to folding the carpet during transportation. When the carpet is laid and stepped-on they will vanish. Examples

Abrash: Due to the different amount of grease in the wool and the added salt during the process of dyeing, the wool has got a varying colour absorbance. This is not very visible before weaving. During the weaving though, lines of the same colour are formed in the carpet. This is called Abrash (which in Farsi means little cloud) and it shows that the wool was not manufactured using chemical means and marks the naturalness and authenticity of the carpets. Examples
